Callous MPs
According to media reports, the National Assembly Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources was informed that OGDCL has paid Rs124 billion as royalty to Sindh. The area from where carbohydrates are extracted has the first right on this money. But going by the condition of roads, education and health sectors in such areas, one can say that not a single penny has been spent on the development of these districts.
Newborns in Tharparkar or in other backward districts of Sindh have been dying not because of lack of financial resources, but because of the malaise of elected representatives. This criminal negligence requires investigation. This shows the level of sincerity of elected representatives with their electors.
