Local sources said that unknown gunmen riding a bike opened indiscriminate fire on Shah Alam Khan, a resident of Bannu district, near Mir Ali Bazar.

Eyewitness said that the man received multiple bullet injuries and was killed on the spot.

The body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Mir Ali, for medico legal formalities and later sent to his native town in Bannu through an ambulance.

The killing and slaughtering of people hailing from different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and elsewhere in the country have panicked the local residents, particularly business community in the restive North Waziristan tribal district.

A few days ago, five bullet-riddled bodies had been recovered from separate places in North Waziristan tribal district.

Also, six non-local young barbers were recently slaughtered in an incident of sinister violence in the tribal district.

The bodies of the six men were discovered in the fields of Moski village, located in Mir Ali. Preliminary investigation had suggested that the victims, all of whom hailed from Punjab, were shot dead execution style.
