Three traffic cops injured by speedy car
Three traffic policemen, including a sub-inspector, were injured by a recklessly driven car in District Malir on Wednesday.
Driver Gulzar was driving recklessly and could not control the car near a fuel pump on the Super Highway, ploughing it into a sub-inspector and two other traffic cops while they were performing duty at a diversion point.
The accident resulted in a head injury to Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar, while Constable Pervaiz Ali’s left arm and Constable Azizullah’s left arm and a leg suffered fractures. They were immediately referred to the Patel Hospital. The driver was arrested and handed over to the Sachal police station for further legal action. The traffic DIG said the injured personnel “are our front soldiers”, and their health and welfare should be treated as a priority.
