Two unidentified men found dead
LAHORE
Two men were found dead in two incidents on Monday. In the first incident, a 40-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Sunder police limits.
A passerby informed the police about the man lying unconscious. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The police suspected that the man was a drug addict and died of using excessive drugs.
In the second incident, a 50-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Kot Lakhpat police limits. A passerby informed police about the man lying unconscious.

RESCUE 1122: Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Arshad Zia has completed monitoring visit to flood-prone districts of South and North Punjab for assessment of operational capacity, human resource and emergency equipment.
The DG visited Muzaffergarh, Layya, DG Khan, Jhang, Multan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Vehari, Okara, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib and Rajanpur in the first phase whereas Gujranwala, Gujrat, MB Din, Hafizabad, Chakwal, Chiniot and Sargodha Jhelum and Rawalpindi have been visited in second phase. The DG held interactive meetings with head of Rescue 1122 in the districts and inspected available resources including human resource, emergency ambulances, emergency vehicles, fire tenders, rescue vehicles, water bowsers, rescue boats, OBMs etc.
He witnessed condition of water rescue equipment to perform their operational duty and analysed flood management capacity of emergency service in the districts with available infrastructure, human resource and equipment.
ACCIDENTS: At least 640 accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which six lives were lost and 528 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts. Some 240 victims who sustained minor injuries were discharged on the spot after giving them first aid.
overcharging: Price Control Magistrates of the City District Government Lahore (CDGL) continued action against profiteers and arrested 73 people for overcharging here Monday.
Officials said a total 729 raids were conducted across the city and price control magistrates arrested 73 people out of which 25 were sent to jail by the magistrates after hearing them on the spot. A fine of total of Rs16,500 was also imposed on the profiteers.
