ISLAMABAD: Rai Muhammad Nasir Khan, a BPS-21 officer, has filed a petition with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for promotion.
In his petition filed under Article 199 of Constitution, the petitioner has taken the plea that he was promoted as Deputy Chief Economist in BPS-21 on February 23, 2018.
He pointed out that instead of giving him the charge of Chief Economist (BPS-22), which has been lying vacant since February 22, 2019, the Planning Division transferred his services to the Establishment Division on December 14, 2021 and since then he has been without any post.
Through his lawyer Kamran Ilyas Raja, the petitioner pleaded the court to direct the high powered promotion board to consider his case for promotion.
The court has set March 21 as the date to hear the case.
Meanwhile, BPS-20 officer of Secretariat Group and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Arshad Farid, has been given the additional charge of Chairman, Evacuee Trust Board for a period of three months.
BPS-19 officer of Information Group, Maleeha Shahid, who was serving as Director Electronic Media and Publications, has now been posted as Deputy Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, the Deputy District Health Officer at Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been posted as Medical Officer at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on deputation basis for a period of three years.
