LAHORE : Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof Dr Javed Akram on Sunday said that health sector can be revolutionised with the help of latest technology.
The artificial intelligence system has been introduced in government hospitals of Punjab.
The minister stated this while addressing a roundtable as a chief guest at the Expo Centre. A large number of doctors participated in the discussion.
Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof Dr Javed Akram said Pakistan is going to become the third largest country in the world in terms of population. In Pakistan, every second citizen of 39 years is becoming a patient of blood pressure and diabetes. We have to adopt the principles of health in our lives. In terms of population, we have to provide the best health facilities to the people. In the past, no government has ever thought of improving the conditions of government hospitals in Punjab. The caretaker government of Punjab is revamping more than a hundred government hospitals.
Many government hospitals of Punjab have been completed and opened to the general public. We should adopt a healthy lifestyle to lead a healthy life. According to the disease burden, seven lacs dialysis machines are currently required in Pakistan. All kinds of tests and medicines are provided free of cost to the patients at Apka Clinic.
