Two terrorists killed in Bahawalnagar encounter

BAHAWALPUR: Two alleged terrorists were killed in a reported encounter with Bahawalnagar’s Faqeerwali police near Chak 142/6-R on Saturday night.
On a tip-off, police raided the area to arrest the terrorists. Seeing police, the terrorists opened fire on them. Police also retaliated. As a result, two alleged terrorists Muhammad Jamil of Chak 3, Fordwah, and Allah Ditta of Chak 42, Fateh, were killed on the spot while two others managed to escape.
Meanwhile, the Bahawalnagar DPO Office spokesman said that the killed terrorists were trained in Afghanistan and wanted in more than 21 cases. He said that they used to finance terrorists by collecting money through dacoities and robberies in Bahawalnagar district. The bodies were shifted to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
