BUREWALA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif has said that the ‘change’ had ruined Pakistan as there was no electricity and gas, while everything was costly.
Addressing an election rally here on Friday afternoon, the three-time former prime minister said it was regrettable that those who brought about ‘change’ had gotten the country at such a stage, adding that his party would get Pakistan out of inflation and unemployment. He said that good times would return.
PMLN Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, senior leaders Marriyum Aurangzeb, Pervez Rasheed and others accompanied him to Burewala.
Nawaz assured the people of provision of gas to everyone and controlling prices of plain bread and sugar if voted into power in February 8 general elections.
The ex-prime minister asked people to compare his tenure as prime minister and the situation after his ouster. He said that during his last government Roti, fertilizers and electricity were cheaper and affordable. He announced to update Burewala status as a district, and construction of an airport and motorway for the city if voted to power. He also promised to establish a medical college in Vehari district.
Addressing the rally, Maryam Nawaz asked the people to vote for Nawaz Sharif so that he could be elected and serve them in a better way. Maryam said that if anyone was worried about the nation today, it was Nawaz Sharif. She added that the PMLN was the only party that had served South Punjab.
