MoU signed on providing solar panels to 7,000 PEF schools

LAHORE : The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and the Bank of Punjab (BoP) on Friday signed an MoU marking a significant step towards providing solar panels to more than 7,000 partner schools under the PEF umbrella.
The partnership aimed to empower educational institutions with sustainable energy solutions through accessible installment loans for the acquisition of solar systems. PEF MD Shahid Farid and Head Retail Finance Division BoP Salman Shah signed the MoU. Speaking on the occasion, PEF MD highlighted the positive impact of this initiative. The solar system is expected to reduce electricity bills for PEF partners while providing environment-friendly electricity to over 2.7 million students.
