Our country is once again at a critical juncture of its history as it is going to hold general elections on February 8. Pakistan is currently faced with a plethora of challenges including skyrocketing food inflation, persistent power outages, political instability, and an upsurge in terrorism. But the upcoming general elections have also rekindled a gleam of hope among the people who hope to choose their representatives and install a government representing the interests of the people.
Pakistanis have a tremendous opportunity to vote for the progress of the country by electing a patriotic and pragmatic leadership. We must reject the nefarious elements who have undermined the country for their own designs. These elements seek to present themselves as the true representatives of the people. They are in fact a cult bent on spreading anarchy in the country. The onus is on the rational and wise people of our country to exercise their right to vote in favour of the peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
