Police arrested on Thursday a teenage boy for allegedly attempting to abduct a minor girl with the intention of sexually assaulting her.
The 14-year-old suspect, whose name has been withheld for being a juvenile, was arrested after police intercepted him with a minor girl in the Aram Bagh area.
Upon questioning, police found out that the tteenager had attempted to abduct the nine-year-old girl for sexually assaulting her.
The initial interrogation revealed that the suspect possessed a criminal record.
He was previously arrested for stealing a motorcycle within the remits of the Nabi Bux police station.
A case has been registered against him while further investigations are underway.
