Indebted to Pakistan

This refers to the news report, ‘PM ready to justify every penny, also wants rivals to do so’ (April 23). The PM’s second address to the nation within a month following the Panama disclosure does not evoke any sympathy.

The PM should remember that it was Pakistan that offered his family wealth because there are numerous others who faced greater hardships, sacrificed far more and may have worked as hard as the Sharif clan, but they have chosen to live and die in this country with their assets and family located here. The prime minister owes a lot to Pakistan and the least he can do is to transfer all his assets and force his family to move lock, stock, and barrel. That is, if he considers Pakistan to be his motherland.
