He announced complete support for PPP’s candidate, former speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf from Gujjar Khan for the seat of the National Assembly and PPP’s candidate for the provincial assembly Chaudhry Sarfraz.

During the press conference, the former speaker expressed gratitude to Naveed Bhatti for his complete support in the elections.

Naveed Bhatti said that he was announcing unconditional support for Raja Pervez Ashraf in the elections.

“I have been in politics for two decades, and there are many issues in my union council and region that need to be resolved,” he said.

He mentioned that he had been preparing for the election for four years but was withdrawing from PP-9 in favour of Chaudhry Sarfaraz and would support Raja Pervez Ashraf for the National Assembly seat.

In response to a question, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the PPP is running the campaign effectively, and he is confident that the PPP will achieve positive results. He mentioned that the PPP will bring a big surprise in Punjab, and their candidates are in a strong position in Attock district.

“Along with strengthening our position in Tallagang and Chakwal, we are moving forward strongly in Rawalpindi as well,” he added.

He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s campaign has further strengthened the federation of Pakistan. He noted that the PAT and many prominent political figures are supporting the PPP.

In response to another question, Raja Pervez Ashraf emphasised that every party has to contest its election, and if any political party can secure the golden number, it will form its government. However, if the golden number is not attained, then a coalition government is formed, as there is never a permanent opposition in politics, he explained.

Responding to another question, he praised former president Asif Ali Zardari as the best politician in the country, noting his commendable performance under difficult circumstances.
