‘Eradicate smog through cleanliness’

Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaqat Ali Chatha has said that burning garbage is not morally and legally correct, do not burn household waste, old tires, plastic items, crop residue, after all these are burnt, the smoke produced together with fog forms smog, says a press release.

Make cleanliness your motto for your health and the clean environment of the city, support Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) in proper disposal of garbage. CEO of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company Rana Sajid Safdar said, “We are determined to eradicate smog through cleanliness, but the cooperation of the citizens will be helpful for us, take the garbage to the garbage bins, never set it on fire. While cleaning, spray water to avoid dust generation.”

He expressed these views while talking to the representatives of UC monitoring committees on the occasion of his visit to Raja Bazaar. The commissioner discussed cleanliness and other issues in the area while talking to the representatives of UC monitoring committees. He said that it is necessary for every citizen to follow the instructions issued by the Punjab government to prevent smog, everyone take care of cleanliness, follow all the necessary instructions to eliminate smog and instruct others to do the same.
