Much of the country’s intellectual-cum-political discussions revolve around counterfactuals. ‘If only we had done this or not done that things might have been better’. Reflecting on the wrong decisions made in the past can perhaps help lead us towards a better future.
Elections are around the corner and it is high time for all the political parties and other authorities to learn from the past in order to fix the economy and address the political challenges we are facing. Numerous political decisions in the past have deeply affected our standing both internally and externally. What is done is done and cannot be reversed but should be treated as a reference-point for what we must do differently going forward.
