Security arrangements for polls reviewed

CHARSADDA: A senior official on Monday visited Charsadda to review preparations and security arrangements for the forthcoming general elections to be held on February 8.
Peshawar Division Commissioner Muhammad Zubair Khan asked the relevant officials to implement the code of conduct issued by the Elections of Pakistan in letter and spirit.Deputy Commissioner Adnan Farid Afridi and other officials were also present, who briefed the commissioner on the ongoing preparations and security steps being taken for the polls.The commissioner directed the utilization of available resources to timely procure election material, saying that transparent election was a priority of the government.
