LANDIKOTAL: Former federal minister Noorul Haq Qadri said on Sunday that through a conspiracy of political opponents, fake cases were registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to keep them busy in courts and police stations in the run-up to the general elections.

Qadri made these remarks while kicking off his election campaign in Landikotal. Thousands of his supporters, PTI activists, and elders from Shalman, Mulagori, Bara, and Jamrud attended the event.

He alleged that, to sabotage their election campaign, the police were instructed to arrest party workers, resulting in the imprisonment of hundreds of PTI leaders and workers.Former PTI member of the National Assembly from Bara, Iqbal Afridi, PTI candidate from PK-69 Muhammad Adnan Qadri, and PK-70 PTI candidate Sohail Khan Afridi, former senator Hafiz Abdul Malik Qadri and other senior party leaders also attended the gathering.

Qadri said that the PTI leadership had mutually decided to allot the NA ticket to Iqbal Afridi. He expressed confidence that Adnan Qadri was the best selection for PK-69 and would hopefully secure the slot with a significant margin.

Qadri claimed that Imran Khan was a prisoner of the United States because he had refused to accept US demands. He said that the reason he had been put in jail was his response to a question posed by an American journalist, stating that “absolutely not” was his answer.

He said that all his followers and PTI workers would stand by Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, claiming that Imran Khan was the last option for Pakistan to restore every citizen’s identity and dignity on the international stage.

On the occasion, Adnan Qadri and Sohail Afridi said that they were struggling for justice for all in the country. They urged voters to support PTI, terming it as a vote against America and a vote against injustice.

Former MNA Iqbal Afridi said that Pakistani citizens were mature, having rejected the three-time prime minister and exposed his corruption. He urged citizens to come out on February 8 and vote for PTI, and predicted a clean sweep by PTI workers across the country.
