Just like electricity bills, the gas bills are being raised beyond the paying capacity of the majority. It must also be noted that the recent surge in gas bills is being partly driven by the substantial increase in gas tariffs. This is a cruel act by the government, which seems bent on increasing state revenues by increasing the financial burdens of the people with each passing month.

Given the rise in utilities, salaries need to be increased so that ordinary people can live without worrying about how to make ends meet.
