A phone call between Iran’s foreign minister and his Pakistani counterpart on Friday (January 19), came as welcome news to all the peace-loving citizens of Pakistan and Iran. It has certainly frustrated the heinous designs of those who want to take advantage of the tension between the two brotherly countries to create division and disunity between the two nations who share history, culture, beliefs, and traditions.
In order to avoid the recurrence of tensions in future and to effectively counter the menace of cross border terrorism jointly, there is certainly a need for closer cooperation between the law-enforcement agencies of both countries.
