MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday imposed a ban on illegal and unregistered currency dealers.
“I have received instruction from the Home and Tribal Affairs Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to impose a ban on illegal and unregistered currency dealers and those found involved in hoarding of foreign currency might be taken to justice under relevant laws,” Bilal Shahid Rao, the deputy commissioner, was quoted as saying in an official order.
The order copy was shared with the secretary Home and Tribal Department, commissioner and deputy director FIA Hazara, and District Police Officer Mansehra for collaboration.It said that the ban was being imposed with an immediate effect on illegal currency smuggling across the district.
The order warned of action against such illegal activities across the district, saying anybody contravening this order shall render himself liable to be punished under Section 188 of the PPC.
Meanwhile, the district administration banned illegal excavating, lifting and transporting sand, gravel and stones from the Siran River.An order issued by the deputy commissioner said the assistant director of Mineral Development Department had brought to his notice that the dwellers of Khaki, Nakot, Barkund, Tarangri Sabir Shah and Hari Mera were illegally excavating, lifting and transporting through heavy truckers minor mineral, sands and gravel from Siran River, which was against existing laws.
