Rawalpindi:The underground cabling project is a historic step for the business community and citizens of Cantonment. Completion of the project should be ensured within the stipulated period, says a press release.
These views were expressed by Zahid Bakhtawari, chairman of the Central Organisation of Tajran Cantonment Registered and Anjuman Shahryan Rawalpindi Registered and candidate of NA-55 constituency of National Assembly in a conversation with media representatives regarding the launch of underground cabling project in Cantonment.
Zahid Bakhtawari on the launching of underground cabling project thanked Lt. Gen. (r) Hamud-ul-Zaman Khan, secretary defence; Lieutenant General Shahid Imtiaz, Corps Commander 10 Corps; Major General Irfan Ahmad Malik, DG ML&C; Brigadier Ahmad Nawaz, Station Commander and Liaquat Ali Chatta Commissioner Rawalpindi and Cantonment Executive Officer Cant Syed Ali Irfan Rizvi.
On the occasion he said that the project is of historical importance for the business community and citizens of Cantonment. The completion of the project will facilitate the flow of electricity transmission and the relief of traffic and congestion, along with the provision of facilities for pedestrians. There will be an end of encroachment.
Zahid Bakhtawari expressed hope that in the first phase the project will be completed within the stipulated period and soon in the second phase this project will be extended throughout the cantonment and more developmental.
