PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council vice-chairman Zarbadshah Khan and chairman executive committee Syed Mubashir Shah Advocate on Wednesday took serious notice of criticism on judges and urged the legal fraternity to avoid issuing such indecent statements against the judiciary.
In a statement issued here, they said that if someone was not satisfied with the courts’ verdicts, they should adopt a legal course instead of hurling threats, running negative propaganda and issuing indecent statements against the judges and judiciary.
They directed the lawyers’ community to avoid issuing disputed statements in newspapers and social media.“The lawyers should talk on court verdicts but they must not issue insulting remarks against the judiciary and judges,” they said, adding that the lawyers should take care of the sanctity of courts and judges.
