LAHORE:Two criminals were shot dead in an alleged police encounter near Shad Bagh on Tuesday. As per police, six robbers on two bikes were on their way back after snatching a rifle from a cop and a motorcycle from a citizen when police signaled them to stop.
On which the criminals fired shots at the police, as a result two robbers were killed by the firing of their own accomplices. Four robbers managed to escape. The criminals who died were identified as Qasim and Riaz. Bodies were shifted to the morgue.
Three human traffickers arrested
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three accused, including two proclaimed offenders (POs) for their involvement in human trafficking. According to the FIA spokesman, accused identified as M Yusuf and Babar Azam received Rs1.2 million for sending a man to England illegally.
While, accused Adeel got Rs900,000 on the pretext of sending citizens to Dubai for employment and he himself went into hiding after receiving the money. The accused were arrested from different locations of Gujranwala.
Cops save man’s life
An unidentified man was found unconscious outside his house in Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate police area on Tuesday. Police officials provided him with warm clothes, food, and tea after giving him first aid.
Drug-pusher arrested
Mustafabad police arrested a drug pusher and recovered 1.5kg charas from his possession. The accused was identified as Usman alias Chino.
