264,928 apply for Inter admissions through OCAS

LAHORE:A significant influx of 264,928 Intermediate applications while a total of 67,486 Bachelor’s applications was seen from students across Punjab in 814 public colleges in 2023 through the Online College Admissions System (OCAS) of the Higher Education Department (HED).

According to a press release, the OCAS offers students 24/7 access to apply and stay informed about admission updates. Additionally, students can access digital college brochures and track the status of their admission applications through the respective college websites.

PU awards PhD degrees to seven scholars

Punjab University (PU) has awarded PhD degrees to seven of its scholars. According to details, Muhammad Rashid Iqbal has been awarded PhD degree in the subject of Urdu, Hafiz Abu Bakar Usman in the subject of Islamic Studies, Rehana Bano in the subject of Chemistry, Rahat Afza in the subject of Art & Design (Art History), Kashifa Rashid in the subject of Special Education, Asma Kanwal in the subject of Special Education and Muhammad Ihsan Ullah in the subject of Pharmacy (Pharmacology).

PU convocation on 20th

Punjab University’s 132nd convocation will be held on Saturday, (January 20) in Faisal auditorium. According to details, the full dress rehearsal of the convocation will be held on Friday, (January 19) at 8am at Faisal Auditorium in which student’s participation is must. Invitation cards for students have been sent in this regard; however, the students who have not received the invitation cards may contact the Computer Degree Section, Punjab University Examination Department, said a PU spokesperson. The position holder students of BS, MA/MSc, MPhil and PhD session 2022 will be awarded medals and degrees.
