Three children die of measles in Naushero Feroze
NAUSHERO FEROZE: Three children of a family including a sister and a brother died of measles in district Naushero Feroze on Friday while 15 more children were admitted to the Civil Hospital in critical condition.
The DHO, Abdul Wahab Wadho, confirmed the death of three siblings of a family and said emergency has been declared in hospitals of the district. Arbab Chandio’s 4-year-old son Junaid and 3-year-old daughter Marvi and their 6-year-old cousin Mahya, daughter of Muhammad Ali Chandio, all residents of Nangar Chandio, died due to sudden spread of measles.
Meanwhile, Saqib, 7, Sobaidar, 2, Urooj, 3, Sohail, 3, Shah Baig, 2, Rahila, 4, Marvi, 5, Shahzana, 6, Tehmina, 5 and Arsalan, 5, were admitted to the Civil Hospital. The DHO said reports of spread of measles in different villages of the district have been received and teams have been constituted.
