WANA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued tickets for the upcoming elections to candidates in Lower and Upper South Waziristan districts on Friday.
According to a report, the PTI ticket was issued to Zubair Wazir for South Waziristan constituency NA-42, while the PTI ticket for PK-110 constituency was issued to Ajab Gul Wazir and PK-109 ticket issued to Asif Khan Mehsud. All the three candidates received tickets from the former Provincial Local Government Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Amin Gandapur.
It may be noted that Ajab Gul Wazir had also contested the mayor election on the party ticket. Ajab Gul Wazir said on the occasion that as the people of South Waziristan were deprived of the basic facilities, solving their problems was among his top priorities.
He said that the former MNA and the former MPA were unaware of the problems of the area people. “Now we anticipate that, God willing, the people of South Waziristan will mark their choice on February 8, and the three candidates will secure success with a significant majority,” he stated.
