PCB’s Level One Coaching Course concludes in ICU

PESHAWAR: At least 32 coaches from across the province participated in the four-day level one coaching course, which concluded at the historic Islamia College University here on Thursday under the aegis of Pakistan Cricket Board.

The participants of the training course hailed from Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Dir, Bannu, Mardan, Swat, North Waziristan and South Waziristan districts. Former test cricketer and fast bowler, Fazle Akbar was also among the participants who completed the coaching course. With the support of PCB administration, like every year, a level-one coaching course was organized for the training of cricket coaches all over the country including in Peshawar.

Cricket coaches Timur Azam, Sajid Shah and Mukhtasim Rashid trained the participants of the course under the leadership of PCB Head Coach Coaching Education Shahid Mahmood and Rahat Abbas. Director SportsIslamia College University Ali Hoti was also present on the occasion, who arranged the best arrangements to facilitate the participants and the guests.

Pakistan Cricket Board Director Coaching Education Shahid Mehmood said that the coach has an important role in the development of any game and they were trying to train the new coaches in the best possible manner so that they could bring out the talent at the grass roots level in their respective districts.

He paid gratitude to Vice-Chancellor of Islamia College University Peshawar Professor Dr. Gul Majeed Khan and Director of Sports Ali Hoti for providing good facilities to the participants of the course.
