MIRPUR: A high-level delegation of the British High Commission led by British High Commissioner Jane Marriott on Wednesday called on AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry at his native residence at Chechian in the city of Mirpur.
During the meeting, the issues of mutual interest, including the impact of climate change on AJK, problems faced by overseas Kashmiris in the UK and ongoing projects funded by the British government in Azad Kashmir came under discussion. AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and British High Commissioner Jane Marriott also held a one-on-one meeting. The delegation headed by Marriott included Richard Lindsay, head of Pakistan and Afghanistan Security Operations Department in the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sam Sherman, Albert David, Russ Macpartland, Sneha Lala, Aakash Ashraf and Adeela Khan. Meanwhile, Barrister Chaudhry and Jane Marriott met with various delegations of Kashmiris settled in the UK and listened to their grievances.
