FC soldier killed in checkpost attack

PARACHINAR: A Frontier Corps soldier was killed and two others injured in a blast near their checkpost in Shaheedano Banda in Kurram Agency, official sources said on Friday.
The sources said that one solider identified as Farooq Khattak was killed and two others sustained injuries in an explosion when one of them stepped on a landmine near the Bezo checkpost in Shaheedano Banda.
The injured soldiers Jehangir Khan and Muhammadi were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Kohat. The militants started firing on the forces checkpost from the Afghan border.
The security forces claimed killing seven militants in the retaliatory fire.The security forces launched a search operation in the area after the checkpost attack.
