LAHORE: Pakistan People's Party Additional Secretary General and incharge of NA-127 election campaign Zulfiqar Ali Badr has said the 2024 election is vital for everyone who wants to get rid of inflation, unemployment and poverty. Bilawal Bhutto will hold a big meeting in provincial capital on January 21. He was addressing a press conference on Tuesday.
PPP Lahore President Ch Aslam Gill, Mian Misbah ur Rehman, Faisal Mir, PPP Gilgit-Baltistan President Amjad Hussain, Faiza Malik, Nayab Jan, Sonia Khan, Afnan Sadiq Lone, Musa Khokhar and Farooq Yusuf Ghurki were also present on this occasion. Badr said that political opponents should not consider our nobility as weakness. Our party is strong and is just like a well-knit unit. He said that Bilawal Bhutto has taken a challenging decision to contest the election from NA-127 because this area has plenty of problems. He said that we believe in the politics of respect and tolerance. The People's Party will fulfil all the promises it has made during election campaign, he added.
The slums will be given ownership rights. Besides this, we will provide up to 300 units of free solar electricity. PPP will issue welfare cards to the poor and the farmers, he added. He said that PPP would win election from all provinces, including Punjab. Bilawal is a visionary leader and he has inculcated unity and solidarity in the party, he added.
He claimed that five provincial constituencies have been formed instead of two by changing the boundaries of NA 127. He informed that Mian Misbah will contest elections from PP-160 and Faisal Mir from PP-161. He said that Benazir Bhutto had won the election from NA-94 before becoming the Prime Minister. Similarly, Bilawal will also become the Prime Minister after winning from NA-127. Answering a question, Badr said that the impression of friendly election is wrong and PMLN and PPP are not facilitating each other. Otherwise, Shehbaz Sharif would have contested the election from Larkana instead of Karachi.
