“The legal hurdles in the way of PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif are over now. And he will become the country’s prime minister for the fourth time after a landslide victory in NA-15,” he told reporters in the Tanawal area here.

The PMLN leader said that the nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif were cleared by the Peshawar High Court’s Regional Election Tribunal in Hazara and those who opposed his father-in-law were disqualified from contesting elections by the returning officer. The PMLN leader said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf raised objections against Nawaz Sharif with the returning officer of NA-15 during the scrutiny process but all were turned down.

“We have already started door-to-door canvassing of Nawaz Sharif and other aspirants in the district as our party will win the February 8 general elections in two national, and five provincial assembly seats here,” Safdar said.He added that Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, the former federal minister, was running on the PMLN ticket in NA-14 Mansehra-I and he would also sweep the elections.

“Our aspirants at five provincial assemblies’ constituencies in the district would also win their respected seats with a thumping majority,” the PMLN leader said. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader said that though political parties were making all-out efforts to indulge in seat adjustments against his party’s aspirants owing to their internal differences they couldn’t succeed in their objectives. He said that the PMLN would form its governments at the Centre and four provinces after sweeping upcoming general elections in the country.
