HYDERABAD: A young couple and their eight-year-old son were found dead with slit throats inside their house in Kotri’s Sikandarabad Colony on Tuesday.
Thirty-five-year-old Altaf Ghori, his wife 34-year-old Meena Ghori and their eight-year-old son Adil Ghori were murdered by unknown persons with a sharp-edged knife, police said. The victims had been living on the upper floor of a rented house for the past 10 years. Police sources said that Altaf had a property dispute with his brother Rafiq, who lived in Karachi.
According to the initial investigation, Meena had called her brother, who lived in the same city, telling him that Rafiq, another man Lalu and a woman were stabbing Altaf with a knife. She added that they would kill her too and cried for help.
Meena’s brother told police that her sister was killed while she was on the call with him. He added that the killers also stabbed Adil, who was sleeping at the time of the incident. After receiving information, police and rescue services reached the crime scene and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital of Kotri for medico-legal formalities.
