LAHORE:Cold wave persisted in the City as mercury dropped to 4.6°C here on Monday. Due to the cold, the AQI of the city also remained at higher value as on Monday it was 203, which fell into very unhealthy category. Met officials also warned that dense fog was likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Sindh during this week.
Met officials predicted that mainly cold and cloudy weather was expected in most of upper parts of the country while very cold in northern parts and north Balochistan. Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped to -11°C while in Lahore it was 4.6°C and maximum was 12.8°C.
