PPP leaders announce joining PTIP
NOWSHERA: Former deputy attorney general and ex-president of the district bar association Ijaz Muhammad advocate, along with former district general secretary of Pakistan People’s Party Sajid Ali Shah Shibli, announced joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) here on Monday.
At a ceremony, PTIP Chairman Pervez Khattak welcomed Ijaz Muhammad advocate and Sajid Ali Shah Shibli and announced their inclusion along with their other colleagues into the party.
Both the new entrants to the party said they would hold a gathering soon to express confidence in the leadership of Pervez Khattak.
Ijaz Muhammad said on the occasion that he had accepted the invitation of Pervez Khattak to join PTIP due to the efforts of Iftikhar Ali, a close associate of Khattak.“Pervez Khattak can better work for the progress and prosperity of the province,” he added.
Pervez Khattak thanked Ijaz advocate, Sajid Ali Shah Shibli, and said that their inclusion in PTIP would strengthen the party. He also said that due to the efforts of his party leaders like Iftikhar Ali and others, the negotiations with leaders of various political parties, including the PPP, had been successful.
