BISHAM: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) provincial president Amir Muqam on Saturday claimed that his party would sweep the forthcoming general elections across the country.
Addressing a workers’ convention in Bisham, he said that only the PMLN had the capability to steer the country out of the prevailing morass and bring about economic stability and progress.
On this occasion, hundreds of local leaders along with their families’ members quit their respective political parties and announced joining the PMLN.
Welcoming the new entrants, Amir Muqam said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had ruined the country’s economy despite taking huge loans from the international financial institutions.
He said that PTI was now a closed chapter that had caused irreparable loss to the country and the nation during its rule by halting the development process.
“No mega projects were initiated during the 10-year long government of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he added.
He urged the people to vote his party to power in the upcoming elections to usher in a new era of development and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and elsewhere in the country.
“The PMLN politics revolve around the welfare of the masses and development of Pakistan,” he said, adding his party would announce poor-friendly packages to improve the standard of their lives.
Amir Muqam said that the PMLN would sweep the general elections and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would focus on KP development after becoming prime minister of the country for the fourth time in the history of Pakistan.
He said that his party governments had always brought positive changes in the lives of the people and had put the economy back on track to development.
He said that his party vision was uniform development of the country, people’s socioeconomic welfare and resolution of problems at their doorsteps.
He said that the Nawaz Sharif government had stabilized the economy and had ended loadshedding. He said that the PMLN government defeated the terrorists and restored peace in the country.
Amir Muqam said that the PMLN had completed several projects in its last tenure. “Several mega projects were completed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the PMLN government,” he concluded.
