SUKKUR: A case was registered against Dr Mahrang Baloch, a human rights activist, who has been leading a protest against the enforced disappearances, over her seditious and anti-army remarks on Friday.
Sarfraz Khoso, SHO of Police Station Wadda Machyoon in Khairpur, on Friday on behalf of the state, registered an FIR against Dr Mahrang Baloch under section 124-A of the Pakistan Penal Code that punishes those who attempt to bring hatred, contempt, or disaffection towards the government.
The SHO maintained in the FIR that Dr Mahrang Baloch was instigating people for civil war and continuously talking against state institutions. He added that Dr Mahrang was following anti-Pakistan agenda like other anti-state elements.
