Many motorists faced problems while driving in and outside of Peshawar after the evening as the unprecedented layer of fog further thickened on Friday. The Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway was shut from morning to afternoon due to low visibility and to ptotect the motorists from any untoward incidents.

A number of people preferred to return home before the evening to avoid driving in the fog. Peshawar has never seen such foggy weather. The cold wave also continued to affect the daily routine of majority of the population.

School remained closed while the CNG stations also announced closure from Friday due to low pressure because of the cold wave.A number of flights were cancelled while others were diverted to Islamabad and other cities due to poor visibility in Peshawar.
