LAHORE:Traffic Police Punjab, on the instructions of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, have launched some more features/initiatives such as online renewal of regular and international driving licence for the convenience of citizens.
As per new development, the citizens will now be able to renew regular and international licences by making online payments and submitting documents at police service centres, traffic centres, front desks of police stations and public portals as well throughout the province. Punjab Police spokesperson said that the renewal of learner driving licence is also going on at the front desk of police stations.
Rs1.9m released for treatment of cops’ children
IG has released more than Rs1.9m for the treatment of the children of officials of various districts. Muzaffargarh head constable Imdad Hussain was given Rs15 lakh for the cochlear implant of his four-year-old son. Driver constable Parvez Akhtar was given Rs2 lakh for treatment of his disabled son. PTS Sargodha constable Mohsin Abbas was given Rs1 lakh for the treatment of his son; Rs70,000 were given to driver cop Riasat Ali for the treatment of his son, who was suffering from thalassemia while the son of deceased head constable Syed Ejaz was given Rs70,000 for kidney treatment.
