73 new passport offices

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The federal government has decided to establish 73 new passport offices in different districts of the country while 15 executive offices will also be set up in the mega cities shortly, said Director General Immigration and Passports Usman Akhtar Bajwa.
Addressing an event at a local passport office in collaboration with a courier company here on Thursday, he said that service to deliver passports to the applicants at their residences had successfully been launched in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Mardan and Gujrat. He said that it was an optional service and could be obtained with charges of Rs 150. He said that online renewal of passports was on the cards.
