52 more flights cancelled as fog persists
Dubai-Sialkot flight FZ 315, Jeddah-Peshawar PK 736, Jeddah-Sialkot PF 721, Muscat-Sialkot PF 737 and Jeddah-Islamabad PF 719 landed in Lahore
KARACHI: Air operations remained disrupted on Thursday due to prevalence of heavy fog in various parts of the country. The fog affected Peshawar and Sialkot airports more. Air passengers were made to travel on buses.
A total of 52 flights were cancelled, while 11 were diverted to various alternative airports. In three days, 116 flights were cancelled and more than 200 domestic and international flights were delayed.
Dubai-Sialkot flight FZ 315, Jeddah-Peshawar PK 736, Jeddah-Sialkot PF 721, Muscat-Sialkot PF 737 and Jeddah-Islamabad PF 719 landed in Lahore.
Saudi Airlines Jeddah-Peshawar flight SV 796, Dubai-Peshawar PK 284, Dammam-Sialkot PK 244 landed in Islamabad. Abu Dhabi-Peshawar flight which landed in Karachi was diverted to Lahore, but landed in Islamabad. Islamabad-Jeddah flight PA 270, Dubai-Islamabad flight PK 212 and Sharjah-Peshawar flight PK 258 landed in Karachi.
Islamabad-Abu Dhabi PK 261, 262, Gilgit PK 601, 602, 605, 606, Skardu 451, 452, Karachi ER 500, 501, Karachi PA 200, 201, 207, 208, 9P675 and 9P674 flights were cancelled. Sharjah PA 211, 212, Dubai-Islamabad PK 234, Sharjah 182, Kabul-Islamabad two flights of Kim Air were cancelled.
Doha-Peshawar Qatar Air flight QR 609, 601, Abu Dhabi PK 218, Dubai PK 183, 184, Sharjah PK 257, Karachi-Peshawar ER 550, 551, 9P865 and 9P866, Riyadh ER 857, Saudi Air Jeddah-Peshawar SV 797 were cancelled
Gulf Air Bahrain-Peshawar GF 786 and GF 787 could not be operated till late night. Sialkot-Abu Dhabi PK 178, Kuwait City PK 239, 240 were cancelled, while Dubai PK 189 and 180 could not operate till late night.
Lahore-Quetta PK 322, 323 Lahore-Dubai Lahore ER 724, Karachi-Lahore PA 405, 406, ER 522, 523, Karachi-Jeddah PK 731, Multan-Karachi PK 331, Dubai-Karachi PK 214 and Sukkur PK 530, 531 were cancelled. Karachi-Sharjah OV 3308, Muscat-Karachi SAW 781 and 782 could not be operated.
