The Saraiki Professionals Forum (SPF) has expressed deep concern over the target killing of Saraiki labourers in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and demanded a judicial inquiry into these incidents.
SPF Patron Prof Dr Abdul Jabbar Khan said in a statement that the target killing of Saraiki workers in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was open terrorism and such incidents were increasing.
He said that the Saraikis are the most peaceful community of Pakistan, but target killings had been going on in Balochistan, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan for several years. He said that no one would be allowed to commit killings of Saraikis and protest would be registered on every forum.
He said the federal and provincial governments had completely failed to provide security to the life and property of Saraikis, which was a matter of grave concern. The officials of Saraiki Professionals Forum have demanded from the federal government to remove the federal minister for interior from his post and announce compensation for the victim families.
