Elahi taken back to Adiala from hospital after checkup

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf president and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was sent back to Adiala Jail after his medical examination at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC).

Elahi was also brought to the hospital a week ago due to chest pain. According to sources, he was taken from the jail to the RIC on Wednesday after his health deteriorated.

Doctors performed a detailed medical examination, including a thallium scan, on him. The sources said that the test reports had yet to arrive, but Elahi was taken back to the jail.\
