ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Religious Harmony and Pakistani Diaspora in Middle East and Muslim Countries, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi declared 2024 as the year of polio eradication from Pakistan.
During a visit to the National Emergency Operations Center, he said Ulema and Mashaykh unanimously had affirmed that polio drops were permissible, preventing disability.
Ashrafi said all institutions of Pakistan, including religious scholars and leaders were completely collaborating with relevant agencies for polio eradication.
Key actions include removing encroachments disrupting traffic flow, banning buses and vans on BRT routes
