Nawaz my leader, ready to meet him anytime: Abbasi
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says he hasn’t joined any other party and has no plan to do so in the future
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz estranged leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that he regards Nawaz Sharif as his leader and is prepared to meet him whenever he calls him.
In a brief chat with The News here Tuesday evening, Shahid Abbasi said that he hasn’t joined any other party and has no plan to do so in the future. In response to a query, he said that he has his views about the upcoming elections and the politics of the country. It doesn’t mean that he has been dissatisfied with his party. To a question about the polls of February 8, the former premier maintained that when the caretaker prime minister, chief justice, and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) insist that the general elections will be held on February 8, there is no room for speculation about it. He said that the PTI wasn’t running for office in Murree’s constituency as none of its candidates was in the fray.
