LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Monday extended physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed for one day in a case of torching Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) office in Model Town.
The police produced the PTI activist before Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Azhar Ali Jaffri on expiry of her two day physical remand.
The police requested the court to extend the physical remand of the accused for investigations and recovery.
However, Sanam Javed's counsel opposed the remand plea.
The court, after hearing detailed arguments of the parties, reserved its verdict on remand plea for a short while.
Later, the court extended the remand for one day and directed to produce the accused on expiry of the remand term.
