LAHORE : Provincial Secretary Housing Sajid Zafar Dal on Monday visited Wasa head office and inaugurated a 70-KW solar power plant.
By installing this solar system, Wasa Lahore will save around Rs2 million per month in terms of electricity bills. Wasa Lahore also implemented the installation of solar system at Mehmood Booti Disposal Station and Multan Road Disposal Station. MD Wasa Ghafran Ahmed gave a detailed briefing to secretary housing regarding all the projects of Wasa, including SCADA, GIS, Solarisation, Revenue and IT reforms of Wasa Lahore.
Apart from this, a briefing was also given regarding preparations for Monsoon and other projects including Digital Complaint Management System. Secretary Housing appreciated the IT reforms of Wasa Lahore and expressed his determination to implement Wasa Lahore style reforms in all Wasas of Punjab. “All the offices of Wasa Lahore were being transferred to solar system in a phased manner”. In addition, secretary housing visited Digital Complaint Management Centre Gulberg along with Wasa MD Ghafran Ahmed.
