FAISALABAD: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Humayun Akhtar Khan Sunday said in the last 76 years, the public representatives who were elected from NA-97 Tandlianwala had failed to solve the basic problems of people.
He was addressing a press conference at the press club here.
Sikandar Hayat Jatoi, a candidate from PP-102, announced to leave the Pakistan Muslim League-N and become part of Humayun Akhtar Khan’s panel.
Humayun said in the past, the people of NA-97 did not have a choice, but now they were getting an opportunity to change the destiny of the area. He said they had been serving farmers and labourers by setting up industries in the area for decades.
“We are experienced people. We know how to make Tandlianwala accessible to Islamabad. Every village in Tandlianwala will have roads and dispensary. Warehouses will also be built for farmers and crops will be exported,” he added.
Sikandar Hayat Jatoi said he had started the struggle for the development of the region together with Humayun.
