MANSEHRA: The traffic police on Sunday launched a crackdown against one-wheeling and underage driving in the city and its suburbs.
The traffic wardens seized over a dozen bikes and fined many others for violating the traffic rules.
District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi has ordered the crackdown.
He told reporters that his department was active in ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in the city and its suburbs and those found involved in breaching rules might be taken to justice under strict relevant laws. One-wheeling and underage driving was one of the major causes of road accidents in the country, he added.
“I would appeal to parents to ensure their children have not been indulging in one-wheeling and underage driving as this could be proven to be fatal for their lives,” said Afridi.
