Drugs recovered from couple at airport
LAHORE : ASF recovered two and a half kilograms of ice and heroin from the possession of a couple travelling from Lahore to abroad.
Akash Masih and his wife reached Allama Iqbal Airport to go to Doha. The couple's belongings were found to be suspicious during screening. During a detailed search of the goods, 2,490 kg ice and heroin were recovered from the secret compartments of the bags.
Murder suspect held
Chuhng police arrested a man who had killed his wife by poisoning her two days ago. Police said that the accused Ejaz Ali had killed his wife, mother of four children, over unknown domestic issues.
Three found dead
Three persons were found dead in different parts of the City on Sunday. A 60-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Tibbi City, a 35-year-old man was recovered dead from Gari Shahu and a 70-year-old man was found dead near Gulberg. The bodies, yet to be identified, were shifted to the mortuary by Edhi ambulance.
Search operation
In order to improve the law and order situation and in view of New Year Night, a search operation was conducted in Manawan areas.
SDPOs, SHOs and more than 80 jawans and ladies police participated in the search operation.
