Two women among three people burnt to death
LAHORE : In a tragic incident, three people including two women were burnt to death when a fire broke out in a house in Chung area of provincial capital. Police have arrested prime suspects involved in the incident and started investigations into the tragedy.
According to the rescue officials, fire suddenly broke in a house in Shadab Colony, Chung area.
On receiving the information, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot and carried out a rescue operation and took out the charred bodies of three people, including two women.
According to the authorities, the dead include husband, wife and a daughter whose bodies were shifted to the hospital. According to rescue team, the cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.
Meanwhile, SP Sadar Sidra Khan disclosed that the complainant Waqar's wife Farah and daughter Alina have been arrested over their suspicious movements.
Farah and her daughter Alina from her first husband came to Lahore from Rawalpindi, said SP Sidra Khan. She further told that Farah, her daughter and an unknown person strangulated victims Iftikhar, his wife and daughter in Shadab Colony and later set the house on fire. Chung police detained Farah and Alina and started searching for the third accused. SP appreciated SHO Chung and his team.
